Promoting the health and well-being of children prenatal to age five. Tama Healthy Families provides education and support through monthly home visits to families with young children.
To strengthen the health and well-being of the entire family, Tama Healthy Families parents participate in program activities. MICA Infant-Toddler Development Specialists work one-on-one with families on issues that affect their overall success. In addition, parents can take part in parenting classes and a socialization group. All our efforts build on families' strengths, helping them create safer, more nurturing environments for their children.
The Tama Healthy Families program is generously funded by Better Tomorrows, an Early Childhood Iowa initiative.
