Dentist/Dental Clinic Director - Ames, IA

 

Seeking a dedicated and motivated candidate who is committed to providing quality dental care to low-income patients of all ages at MICA’s Story County Dental Clinic in Ames.  This position has major responsibilities for generating revenue to sustain the program.  Provides both preventive and restorative care to patients in a fast-paced public health clinic setting.  Provides education on oral health.  Must stay current with all dental procedures and techniques.  Completes all record keeping and documentation required for patient files and funding sources.  Supervises dental staff including protocols, scheduling, and clinic operation. 

 

Full-time, salaried position with an excellent benefit package, $150,000 annually. 

Required:

  • Must hold a current license within the State of Iowa to practice as a Doctor of Dental Science

  • Must maintain licensure and pursue education and training to do so

Maternal Child Adolescent Health & EPSDT Coordinator-Marshalltown, IA

 

Are you an inspiring, compassionate, adaptive leader?  Do you want to help children and families improve their health?  If the answer is yes, you may be the person we’re looking for to fill this position in our health services department.  The position provides coordination and administration for the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Program; acts as a community liaison to other community and health organizations; identifies, plans and provides for maternal, child and adolescent health needs in geographic area and assures compliance to contract action plan and costing.  This position investigates new or innovative program opportunities to respond to the health needs of the families served, the changes in health care delivery and assists in applying for available funding.  Provides direct services to participants.   Performs related work as required including needs assessment and other state requirements.  Supervises Child Health and Maternal Health Registered Nurses.

Interpreter needed for our Early Childhood Programs in Tama County.  Will provide oral interpretation of discussions into English and Spanish, maintaining content, context and style as much as possible.  Must have knowledge of the structure and content of English and Spanish, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.  May perform duties in family homes, group meetings or classrooms.

Seeking individuals with great customer service skills to join the team at our Family Development Centers in our five county service area.  This is casual position, working as-needed to fill in for regular staff when they are out of the office.  The assistant will assist families to apply for resources, program services, and work with them to resolve crisis situations.  Strong communication skills and the ability to learn and effectively use a variety of computing software and databases is required. 

Candidates who can work in multiple counties are preferred.  This is a casual position working as needed.  This is not a full time position.  $9.74 per hour.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Tracker  - Humboldt & Wright Counties, IA

 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with youth in Humboldt and Wright Counties.   The tracker works with adolescents who have been referred to the juvenile court system.  Responsibilities include supervising and monitoring adolescents in a variety of activities, including recreational, home, educational, treatment and community service.  Uses bilingual skills in English and Spanish to provide services to non-English speaking families as needed and as approved by the Human Resources department.  The tracker is required to use his/her own vehicle to transport enrolled adolescents to activities as needed.  This is a casual position that includes evenings and weekends.  The tracker works from home and is responsible for providing his/her own computer, cell phone and any other electronic equipment used in the performance of this job, including but not limited to internet connectivity. 

 

This is a casual position, working hours as needed based on referrals from assigned juvenile court officer (JCO).  This is not a fulltime position. $17.50 per hour.

Life Skills Instructors - Central Iowa

 

Casual position working with adolescents who have been referred to the program via local school districts and the juvenile court system in the 2nd Judicial District.  Responsible for instructing adolescents in life skills classes using established curriculum.  Required to use own vehicle to transport caseload adolescents to class as needed.  This is a casual position that requires week day, evening and weekend hours (depending on the referral source for the class).   Work hours are negotiated with supervisor, school districts and assigned juvenile court officers (JCOs). The person in this position works out of his/her own home and is responsible for providing his/her own computer, cell phone and any other electronic equipment used in the performance of this job, including but not limited to internet connectivity. 

 

Casual position, hours as needed, as negotiated with supervisor, school districts and assigned Juvenile Court Officers (JCOs).  This is NOT a full-time position.  $17.50 per hour. 

 

One position is available in each of the two designated sections of the 2nd Judicial District listed below.  Instructors should reside within/nearby  the area to be served.

 

Section 1: Bremer, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Mitchell, Worth, Winnebago and Wright counties. 

Section 2: Calhoun, Hamilton, Hardin, Humboldt, Pocahontas and Webster counties.

Dental Hygienist - Ames ,  IA

 

We have a need for a licensed dental hygienist to work on an as needed basis at our busy Story County Dental Clinic in Ames.  Clinic is open Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Casual position, working an as-needed basis to fill in for dental hygienist, $30.49 per hour.

Required:

  • Two year or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene

  • Current Iowa Dental Hygienist License

  • Current license to administer anesthesia
