Temporary Family Development Specialist (6-month position) - Marshalltown, IA

 

PLEASE NOTE:  This is a full time, temporary, 6-month position. 

 

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children and families?  Are you an upbeat, compassionate and adaptive person?  Then you may be just the person we’re looking for to fill this full time temporary position working with children and families participating in our Early Head Start/Head Start programs in Marshall County.

 

You will work collaboratively with families, education staff and community partners to ensure the program meets the developmental needs of children.  Through home visits you will support parents/guardians in addressing family needs and setting and achieving family goals.  

Full time, temporary, 6 month position.  $16.26-$18.49, commensurate with education.

 

Required:  Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, or related field (or equivalent coursework)

 

Preferred:

1st Five Developmental Support Specialist – Marshalltown, IA

Join our health services team and make a difference in the lives of families and children.  This full time position provides developmental support for the 1st Five Healthy Mental Development Initiative (1st Five) in assigned county service area; promotes primary care provider use of validated screening tools to assess children’s social/emotional development; links children and families to community resources; builds partnerships with community stakeholders.

 

Services include establishing medical and dental homes, assisting with Medicaid and hawk-i applications, and other assistance applications as needed (food stamps, food pantries, FIP, etc.).  Works to increase participation rates at clinics. This position regularly travels with clinic teams to alternative work sites.  

Full time position, $18.00 per hour with an excellent benefit package including paid holidays and generous paid leave.

Early Head Start Non-Supervising Lead Teacher – Marshalltown, IA

AmeriCorps Member Position 
Out of School Time Program Support

Position location:  Marshalltown, and also remotely from member’s home as well.

Become a part of a dynamic, innovative organization as AmeriCorps Member working to deliver support to the Out of School Time Program, which is a collaboration between MICA and the Marshalltown Community School District. During the school year the after school learning programs are provided.  During the summer, the AmeriCorps Member would support the summer learning program, Bobcat University.
