Collaborating with our community to create a healthier life for families through education and outreach

The aim of the Community Partnerships for Healthy Mothers and Children (CPHMC) coalition is to increase overall health and quality of life for people in Marshall and Tama counties. The project will achieve this goal by improving access to environments with healthy food and beverage options, increasing access to breastfeeding environments, and partnering with local health providers and nonprofits to coordinate resource availability.
Our mission: to collaborate with our community to create a healthier life for families through education and outreach.

Healthy Food Promotion
The Healthy Food Promotion program aims to increase the promotion and purchase of healthy foods among residents of the Marshall and Tama county areas by working with local convenience stores and small grocery stores. Promotion of healthy foods can have a positive impact for generations to come, and increased sales for businesses today.
To earn recognition as a Healthy Food Promotion business, stores must simply be willing to increase their promotion of healthy food options. It's that simple! In return, we will recognize the stores here and on our Facebook page for their efforts.
Keep an eye out for the Healthy Food Promotion cling to find participating stores near you!
