About our Program

Mid-Iowa Community Action’s Living with HIV program was instituted in 2000.  Since it’s
inception, the program has grown to serve families in seven counties in Central Iowa.  MICA’s
Living with HIV program helps individuals with HIV in Boone, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton,
Hardin, Marshall, and Story counties coordinate essential health services.

Our HIV case manager can help you:
· Locate HIV testing & an infectious disease specialist
· Find resources for medical & prescription coverage
· Give referrals to substance abuse & mental health programs
· Find other community resource to help you meet your needs

The Living with HIV program, in some circumstances, also help individuals with living expenses and gasoline vouchers.

Our program is based in  Mid-Iowa Community Action’s Story County office in the lower level of the Story County Human Services Building, 126 S. Kellogg, Ames.  For more information, contact Kaycee Robinson at (515) 956-3312 or by email at kaycee.robinson@micaonline.org
